We integrate the ETF Lyxor AUT (Auto & Parts Europe) in our Watchlist, due to a significant improvement in the technical profile, which displays a short-term trading opportunity. The cost of this ETF is 0.3% and its Assets Under Management are 44 M €.

Two exits and two entries in our Active Euro Portfolio – 21/07/17

We decided to exit the ETX Lyxor HLT (Health Care Europe) of the Active Euro portfolio, while the index continues to underperform the stoxx600. We are replacing it with an ETF with a positive short term momentum and significant short and medium term bullish potential : the Lyxor ETF BRE (Basic Resources Index).

US Pharmaceuticals : An attractive short-term opportunity? (XPH) – 19/07/17

We include in our watchlist the ETF SPDR XPH which replicates the S&P 500 Pharmaceutical Index, and is composed mainly of 41 specialty pharmaceutical stocks. This ETF expenses reach 0.35% with a liquidity of $44m and appears to be an attractive short-term trading opportunity.

Copper : A long term reversal on the horizon? (JJC) – 14/07/17

We incorporate the ETN Ipath Bloomberg Copper (JJC) in our Watchlist, as it presents technically speaking an attractive configuration, which also seems to be justified by structural factors. JJC incurs a fee of 0.75%, with a liquidity of $ 56m. The index replicates futures contracts on copper (traded on COMEX).

U.S. Metals & Mining : A more favourable conjuncture? (XME) – 12/07/17

We integrate the ETF SPDR Metals & Mining (XME), which is technically attractive, but also fundamentally, which is  due to the anticipated return of inflation on the world stage and better quality growth in China. XME expenses are 0.35%, with a liquidity of $ 543m.

China Large Cap : Ready to accelerate upwards? (FXI) – 07/07/17

We integrate The ETF iShares FXI (China Large Cap), which tracks the performance of an index composed of large-capitalization Chinese equities that trade on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. 
  • China's manufacturing activity grew faster than expected in June 2017. According to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) increased to 51.7 in June compared with 51.2 in May and above market estimates of 51.

One exit in our Actif Euro Portfolio – 07/07/17

We decided to exit the ETF Lyxor MAL (Malaysia) from the Euro Active portfolio, while the upward trend of the index is reversing, particularly in light of the weakness of certain commodities, primarily oil. We are adopting a more cautious approach because of the ongoing correction in the markets and replace this line with a cash position.
