The SRI (Socially Responsible Investing) offering is growing among ETF issuers in Europe.
BNP Easy ETF ECN (BNP PARIBAS EASY Low Carbon 100 Europe), which replicates the Euronext Low Carbon 100 Europe index, is one of the most important examples. This index selects 100 European companies based on their environmental approach, as well as companies focused on energy efficiency and renewable energies. BNP Easy has also issued a range of ETFs replicating the large MSCI indices, excluding companies involved in the production of controversial weapons.
Lyxor, for its part, has created a “sustainable” sub-fund in its offering, which includes the themes related to access to drinking water (WAT – Lyxor ETF World Water) or new energies (NRJ – Lyxor ETF New Energy).
iShares also offers a “sustainable strategy” theme, which includes around fifteen ETFs, including EXXV – iShares Dow Jones Eurozone Sustainability Screened UCITS ETF.
