We integrate the ETF Lyxor AUT (Auto & Parts Europe) in our Watchlist, due to a significant improvement in the technical profile, which displays a short-term trading opportunity. The cost of this ETF is 0.3% and its Assets Under Management are 44 M €.
The automotive sector seems to be responding positively to the rate hike sentiment, while the financing subsidiaries integrated with the Auto manufacturers should recover better margins, as expected for banks. In addition, strengthening growth in Europe is also a support factor.
After a few difficult months, the index seems to regain momentum. The monthly chart shows that a new impulse has just begun in July. The weekly chart shows that this pulse is recent and requests confirmation. This would possibly be given by a crossover of the MACD in the coming weeks.
