Merkel’s inability to form a coalition has plunged investors into confusion.
The reaction was however limited. After opening down (-0.4%), the index quickly returned to close up 0.5%.
The German political calendar should continue to impact the index. Several options are indeed on the table, between final negotiations or the organization of new elections, in which Angela Merkel would participate again.
