Two exits and two entries in our Active Euro Portfolio – 21/07/17

We decided to exit the ETX Lyxor HLT (Health Care Europe) of the Active Euro portfolio, while the index continues to underperform the stoxx600. We are replacing it with an ETF with a positive short term momentum and significant short and medium term bullish potential : the Lyxor ETF BRE (Basic Resources Index). BRE has confirmed a bottom-up trend and a strong relative momentum relative to the European benchmark. The growth of the Chinese economy, the theme of global reflation and accelerated global growth in 2018 are supporting factors for this sector.

BRE (Basic Resources Europe) : weekly data

We decided to exit the Lyxor MDA (Medias Europe) ETF from the Euro Asset portfolio, while this index underperforms the Stoxx600 in the midst of doubts about growth. We replace it with an ETF whose current dynamic is positive in relative and absolute terms : the Lyxor ETF MMS (European Small Cap stocks index). MMS is a broader index and enjoys a strong relative dynamic compared to the European benchmark, which accelerated after the French elections. The acceleration of the growth of the European economy is the main catalyst for this ETF.
