Two exits et two entries in our Active Dollar Portfolio – 25/07/17

We decide to exit the ETF Ishares THD (MSCI THAILAND) from the Active Dollar portfolio, while the index has struggled to find a bullish momentum in recent weeks. We are replacing it with an ETF with a positive momentum and a strong upward potential in the short and medium term: the Ishares ETF EWW (MSCI Mexico). The Mexican index is benefiting from a very dynamic trend, linked to global growth and the modernization of the current economy and the fall of the peso.

We decide to exit the Powershare PKB (Building & Construction US) ETF from the Active Dollar portfolio while doubts increase on D.Trump's ability to carry out its major infrastructure program. We replace it with an ETF whose current dynamic is positive in relative and absolute terms: the SPDR ETF KIE (Insurance US  S&P500 Index). KIE is currently benefiting from the theme of rising interest rates, while insurers' margins are closely linked to the yield curve.
